Understanding this policy helps you maintain your equipment properly during your rental period.
Normal Wear vs Chargeable Damage
Normal wear from regular use is expected and acceptable. This includes minor surface scratches, slight battery capacity reduction over time, and light keyboard or trackpad wear on laptops. Chargeable damage includes cracked or broken screens, liquid damage, significant dents or structural damage, missing components, and damage from misuse or negligence.
Protection Options and Reporting
Our optional GadgetCare+ protection plan covers accidental damage, liquid spills, and hardware malfunctions for 15% of your rental total. If your equipment is damaged during your rental period, report it immediately through your account dashboard. Equipment loss or theft must also be reported immediately.
